Loree describes herself as a poly queer femmegimp porn star academic doing a PhD at York University. Her work is a synthesis of theoretical engagement and critical artistic creation, both of which are motivated and shaped by personal experience and activist ideals. Loree says she wants to replace the gawking, gazing, and glaring people with disabilities encounter on a daily basis with beholding, recognizing, and reacting when people with disabilities are red fucking hot.
Smith is a fat trans genderqueer foodie nerd who maintains a photo blog about queers eating (check it out! www.queerfathungry.tumblr.com). To our great delight, Smith just moved back to the West Coast, which means we get to eat together on a regular basis. (The first time Zena ate food with Smith was at a post-femme conference dinner at a BBQ joint in Oakland. Serious nomming occurred. We also made up a seductive voice for Bevin’s mac ‘n cheese, but that’s another story.)
